Behind every piece, an ecosystem 💛
From the very beginning, one of Sophia's core commitments has been to work with independent artisans - people whose skill deserves to be valued, and whose hands deserve regular, steady work. The artisans we are collaborating with today became like family members. We know their loved ones, we eat together, we are here as support during tough times... That trust took years to build. Today, Zoubida represents a steady, important source of income for several artisans and their families. That's not a side note, it's the whole point of this adventure.
The same hands, from day one. 🤝
Since the very beginning, we have been working with the same close-knit group of artisans in Morocco - building relationships based on trust, shared learning, and a common desire to make things well. As Zoubida grows, so does our circle.
Local, all the way. 🇲🇦
Every fabric, every trim is sourced locally in Morocco. We work closely with suppliers and small shops, especially in Fès, keeping value within the communities we're part of.
No new fabric. Ever. ✂️
Every material we use is deadstock - meaning nothing new is produced for Zoubida. This also implies that most of our pieces are produced in very limited editions, depending on what materials are available. And that’s the beautiful part of it! What you buy from us is unique, like an art piece!
